What stays on your device

Your preferences live in your browser's local storage and are never sent anywhere: favorite channels, the last channel you watched, theme, language, volume and mute, subtitle and control settings, whether the guide starts hidden, your region preference, and a flag recording that you have already seen the one-time analytics notice.

Clearing your browser's data for this site erases all of it. No copy exists on any server.

Anonymous usage counts

Two cookieless counters run here. Cloudflare Web Analytics records page views without cookies and without fingerprinting visitors. A second counter, running on this site's own Cloudflare Worker at live.blkpst.com, records what the app does, which is how a broken channel gets noticed.

A record from that second counter contains the name of the event (a channel tuned, a playback error, a session ending), whether the device is touch or desktop, which channel it concerned, how many seconds of video played, and what triggered playback. That is the entire record. It holds no visitor identifier, nothing that can be traced back to a person, and no way to reassemble one browser's records into a session.

To send nothing at all, visit japantv.app/?notrack once. The choice is remembered in your browser until you visit ?track.

What a web server unavoidably sees

Delivering a page means receiving a request, and a request carries your IP address and your browser's user-agent string. Cloudflare, which serves this site, handles both in order to send you the page and to block abuse.

Neither is written into the usage counts above, linked to anything you watched, or used to build a profile.

Video comes from YouTube

Every channel here plays through YouTube's own embedded player, from the broadcaster's official channel. Scheduled channels use youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Live streams use the standard youtube.com embed, which is how YouTube serves live video.

Once video plays, YouTube has received that request, and Google's privacy policy governs what happens on their side, which is outside this site's control. If you are signed in to Google in the same browser, Google can associate the playback with your Google account, exactly as it would on youtube.com itself.

The feedback form

If you send feedback, your message and the email address you optionally add are delivered to the site owner's inbox by Web3Forms. They are used to read your report and reply to it. Nothing is added to a mailing list, and there is no mailing list.

Signing in with Google

Signing in is optional and everything here works without it. Its only purpose is to carry your favorites and settings between your devices.

If you do sign in, Google tells this site your name, your email address, your profile picture, and a Google account identifier. Those are stored alongside your favorites and settings and used for one thing: showing you on your phone the same favorites you set on your television.

That data is never sold, never shared with anyone, never used for advertising, and never used to build a profile or to train anything. This site's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

To delete it, email privacy@japantv.app and say so. The record, including everything Google provided, is removed. You can also disconnect this site at any time from your Google account permissions page.

What never happens here

This site sets no cookies. There are no advertisements and no advertising or marketing trackers. No data is sold, rented, or handed to data brokers. Typefaces are the ones already installed on your device, so no font request reaches a third party. The prefecture weather is fetched once a day by the build, not by your browser, so no weather provider ever sees a visitor.

Children

This is a television guide for language learners and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.

Changes

Material changes appear here, and the date at the top of this page moves with them.

端末内にのみ保存される情報

設定はブラウザのローカルストレージに保存され、外部に送信されることはありません。対象は、お気に入りチャンネル、最後に視聴したチャンネル、テーマ、言語、音量とミュート、字幕と操作パネルの設定、番組表を閉じた状態で開始するかどうか、地域の設定、および解析に関する初回お知らせを表示済みかどうかのフラグです。

ブラウザで本サイトのデータを消去すれば、これらはすべて削除されます。サーバー側に控えはありません。

匿名の利用統計

本サイトではCookieを使わない計測を2つ利用しています。ひとつはCloudflare Web Analyticsで、Cookieもフィンガープリントも用いずにページビューを記録します。もうひとつは本サイト自身のCloudflare Worker（live.blkpst.com）で動作するもので、アプリの動作を記録します。チャンネルの不具合に気づけるのはこの記録があるためです。

後者の1件の記録に含まれるのは、イベント名（チャンネル選局、再生エラー、セッション終了など）、端末がタッチ操作かデスクトップか、対象チャンネル、再生された秒数、再生のきっかけ、これだけです。利用者を識別する情報は含まれておらず、個人にたどり着く手がかりもなく、同一ブラウザの記録をひとつのセッションとして再構成することもできません。

送信を完全に停止するには、japantv.app/?notrack に一度アクセスしてください。この設定は ?track にアクセスするまでブラウザに保持されます。

ウェブサーバーが避けられずに受け取る情報

ページを配信するにはリクエストを受け取る必要があり、リクエストにはIPアドレスとユーザーエージェント文字列が含まれます。本サイトを配信しているCloudflareは、ページの送信と不正アクセスの遮断のためにこれらを扱います。

いずれも上記の利用統計には記録されず、視聴内容と結びつけられることも、プロファイリングに使われることもありません。

動画はYouTubeから配信されます

各チャンネルは、放送局の公式YouTubeチャンネルの映像を、YouTube自身の埋め込みプレーヤーで再生しています。時刻連動チャンネルにはYouTubeのプライバシー強化モードである youtube-nocookie.com を、ライブ配信にはライブ映像の配信に用いられる通常の youtube.com 埋め込みを使用しています。

再生が始まった時点でYouTubeにリクエストが届いており、その先の取り扱いはGoogleのプライバシーポリシーに従います。これは本サイトの管理の及ばない範囲です。同じブラウザでGoogleにログインしている場合、youtube.com上で視聴した場合と同様に、Googleは視聴をGoogleアカウントと関連付けることができます。

フィードバックフォーム

フィードバックを送信すると、本文と、任意で入力されたメールアドレスが、Web3Forms経由で運営者のメールボックスに届きます。内容の確認と返信にのみ使用します。メーリングリストへの登録は行っておらず、そもそもメーリングリストは存在しません。

Googleでのログイン

ログインは任意です。ログインしなくても本サイトのすべての機能をご利用いただけます。目的は、お気に入りと設定を複数の端末間で引き継ぐことだけです。

ログインされた場合、Googleから本サイトに、お名前、メールアドレス、プロフィール画像、およびGoogleアカウントの識別子が渡されます。これらはお気に入りおよび設定と併せて保存され、テレビで設定したお気に入りをスマートフォンでも表示する、という一点にのみ使用されます。

これらのデータを販売すること、第三者に提供すること、広告に利用すること、プロファイリングや学習に用いることは一切ありません。Google APIから受け取った情報の取り扱いは、Limited Use（限定的使用）の要件を含むGoogle API Services User Data Policyに準拠します。

削除をご希望の場合は privacy@japantv.app までご連絡ください。Googleから受け取った情報を含め、該当の記録を削除します。Googleアカウントの連携設定から、いつでも本サイトとの連携を解除することもできます。

本サイトが行わないこと

本サイトはCookieを一切発行しません。広告の掲載も、広告・マーケティング目的のトラッカーの設置も行いません。データの販売、貸与、データブローカーへの提供も行いません。書体は端末に元から入っているものを使用しているため、フォントの読み込みで第三者にアクセスが発生することもありません。画面隅の都道府県天気はビルド時に1日1回取得しているため、天気情報の提供元が閲覧者を知ることはありません。

お子様の利用について

本サイトは語学学習者向けのテレビ番組ガイドであり、13歳未満のお子様を対象としたものではありません。13歳未満の方から意図的に情報を取得することはありません。
